Stormzy spent over an hour with popular radio personality Charlamagne Tha God where the two discussed various topics. This in-depth interview gives the viewers an insight into not just Stormzy the musician, but Stormzy the person.

There is no denying right now, that Stormzy is one of the main figureheads in the scene. Especially after his latest success of charting number one with his new album, Heavy Is The Head.

The South London rapper gives us an insight into what it was like growing up in Croydon, where getting in trouble was just a part of life. He reminisces on stories that included Pizza guy’s mopeds being stolen, and much more.

In this very honest interview, Stormzy doesn’t shy away from any topic thrown at him. An example would be how he addresses the situation concerning him and Maya Jama, his ex-girlfriend, where he proclaims his love for the popular presenter and openly admits that he messed up.

The two touch on so many more topics, such as the underlying racism we have in Britain, the power of social media and how Stormzy as a person deals with all the fame and spotlight. The popular rapper ends the interview by telling Charlamagne Tha God that the crown may be heavy, but it is all worth it.
