‘Mr McMahon’ has been appointed to an advisory group which aims to kickstart the US economy. As well as McMahon, Trump also assigned NFL chief Roger Goodell, MLB’s Rob Manfred and NHL boss Gary Bettman.
Trump has already spoken about his wishes to reintroduce sports. He said: “We have to get our sports back, I’m tired of watching baseball games that are 14 years old.
‘I haven’t actually had too much time to watch – I would say maybe I watch one batter and then I get back to work.”
The WWE has been categorised as an ‘essential business’ and have therefore been able to continue broadcasting from their training facility in Orlando, Florida - albeit with no crowd.
