Chuckie's known for his energetic, direct style of interviewing and he didn’t fail us with this one. The pair explore a range of topics such as the reaction to Yizzy dubbing himself the ‘Prince of Grime’ and how he’s been shaded for it. Yizzy also sheds light on the Jammer situation: how the East Londoner owes Yizzy £3,000 for shows, and that the 37-year-old got punched in the face by Stormzy.
They also talk about how hard it is for an actual grime artist in this generation to blow, and the hurdles the 20-year-old’s had to overcome to be in the position he is now. Yizzy also honed in on his qualms with Aitch saying nobody’s bothered about Grime, and how the Lewisham boy felt this was irresponsible.
This episode was filmed a week before lockdown and no restrictions were broken. It’s a good watch and you’re not exactly doing anything else.
