Jords is 'Black & Ready' in powerful new single

Jords has shared his empowering new single, Black and Ready, which touches on the Black experience from a place of pride and standing against oppression.

The lyricist delivers deep race-centred lyrics in a smooth uplifting tone as he shares his thoughts on not just the current happenings on the world, but from the perspective of a Black man who has spent his whole life experiencing what some may just be understanding today. With "Black Lives Matter" faintly being chanted in the background of the mellow beat, Jords has a sweet base for him to cover with his meaningful and emotive lyrics.

Black and Ready is an extremely powerful track, and all of the proceeds will be donated to The Black Curriculum; which is an organisation that delivers arts focused Black history programmes, provides teacher training and mobilises young people to facilitate social change.
