Fekky delivers a powerful message with new visuals to ‘Black n Proud’

Fekky has come through with a very important and defiant message with his latest release, Black n Proud.

The last few weeks we have seen systemic racism dominate our headlines and social media. Since the death of George Floyd, the fight for equality around the globe has taken huge strides.

Fekky’s latest release is fitting for the times we are in. In typical Fekky fashion, the banger is extremely hyped and energy filled, whilst the rapper spits about Black empowerment. The track starts with the chorus, which is simple yet extremely effective. You only have to listen to it once for you to be singing along.

In the verse, Fekky gives us an insight of the encounters he has endured with the police and how this is just considered ‘normal’ to people on the block. The rapper also talks about the power of unity by saying that he will let his opp live and how we are better than this.

The visuals start with footage of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests that took place across London. As we see pictures of the protests, Fekky gives an important speech about rising up and loving each other. Other scenes include Fekky and others raising their fists and giving the Black Power salute.
