Sir David Attenborough wants to cheer us up with a wildlife series collaboration with the rapper, and Mercury Prize winner, Dave.

The special is going to be named 'Planet Earth: A Celebration' and is intended to lift the viewer's spirits. The show will feature elements of Attenborough's previous efforts Planet Earth 2 and Blue Planet 2. Hans Zimmer, joined by other composers, will also be showcasing reworks of classic compositions, mixed in with completely new works. Hans Zimmer is predominantly known for impressive musical work with The Dark Knight and of course, Pirates of the Caribbean.

The string section will be performed by the BBC's very own Concert Orchestra with Dave flaunting his skills on keys.

“I’ve always been a fan of powerful natural history documentaries,” Dave told the BBC. “This is a programme where nature and music come together, so it was only right that I lent my talent, my time, and my attention to this project. It was a pleasure to work alongside Sir David Attenborough and Hans Zimmer.”

This wildlife extravaganza is set for our screens near the end of August.
