M24 has released the visuals for ‘A Town Matters’, taken from his latest project, Drip N Drill.
There is a lot of different styles on this track, which keeps it entertaining throughout. We got M24’s raw aggression, Tookie’s solid flow, M Dargg’s raw and gritty voice, stickz’ clever wordplay along with his clear delivery and Sneakbo’s famous flow that can get anyone gassed.
The concoction of different styles and flows add to the hype as each verse offers something different, however the theme is coherent throughout. Every artist was certainly on the same page for this one, with the theme being about representing their area.
The track portrays a dark and gritty mood and the visuals go on to help with this connotation. Most of the scenes are shot at night-time, whilst everyone in the video is wearing all black. The use of the fire and gunshot effects helps with the peril settings the track offers. We also see clips of the altercations that happened between civilians and police officers in Brixton earlier this year.
Every artist delivered what was expected of them. We have an ‘in your face’ track in which every artist spits venomous lyrics with a vehement undertone.
