This wasn't a BL@CKBOX that needed to be made - it simply had to be. Awareness of racism in this country and beyond needs to be shown, and conversations on the subject need to continue in order for change to happen.
Say hello to AB Wav a 21-year-old East London rapper who has just delivered one of the most real BL@CKBOX's ever made. Spitting over the instrumental from Drake and Jhene Aiko's 'From Time' AB Wav sends a message of great importance.
The message is that racism can't be ignored and that black lives matter in every way possible.
AB Wav's lyrics are strong and powerful as he talks about the tragic killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. The search for justice will never stop, and those involved in the killings must be punished.
AB Wav creates a masterpiece with his BL@CKBOX, and it needs to be listened to over and over again.
The second part of the track showcases all the talent this rapper possesses. Performing over an AfroSwing beat, AB Wav comes through with a vibesy and melodic flow.
AB gives an A* performance as he takes control of the beat and delivers a truly spectacular succession of bars. The artist's wordplay is very impressive as he effortlessly gets into his zone.
