Three children rushed to hospital and 13 injured as double-decker bus collides with bridge

Three school-aged children have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the collision of a double-decker bus with a bridge in Winchester, Hampshire.
According to local authorise, police were called shortly after 8am on Thursday morning to Wellhouse Lane due to a school bus crashing into a railway bridge.
In a statement from Hampshire Police it is said that three students with “serious, but not life threatening” injuries were taken to hospital following the crashed. “A further 13 students with minor injuries have been dealt with at the scene”, the statement continues.
The students involved are of secondary age, ranging between 11 and 16 years old.
"We are working in cooperation with the school and Hampshire County Council children’s services to provide support to the students and their parents."
