SZA responds to Drakes claim that they used to date

Drake stated in 21 Savage’s “Mr Right Now.” That he and SZA used to date in 2008.
“So It was actually 2009 lol,” SZA confirmed on Sunday night via Twitter, correcting the inaccuracy. “In this case a year of poetic rap license mattered lol. I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait. Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace…. I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening,” she went on to say, “Completely innocent. Lifetimes ago.”
Drake’s lyrics on ‘Mr Right Now.’ "Yeah, said she wanna f*ck to some SZA, wait. Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08."
The line had people speculating on social media, with fans taking notice that SZA had unfollowed Drake after Savage Mode II came out. Although it seems there isn’t any problem between the two.
Savage Mode II dropped on October 2, 2020, and is available on all major platforms.
