Charmaine releases BOLD new video

New Zimbabwe-born artist Charmaine debuts with a strong video based around the idea of being uniquely bold. The artist describes 'boldness' as being empowered in your individual roles of motherhood, womanhood and artistry.

“I want people to feel like they can do anything. Be anything. They don’t have to pretend to be something they’re not. I want them to feel like stepping into their own power. To be BOLD is to be fearless, unapologetically you. To be able to see and understand that you are worthy, and you are amazing and beautiful. Particularly as a black woman, we’re often told to tone ourselves down. Not any mf more!!”

Charmaine plays with hip hop and r&b influences and asks for listeners to consider challenges, alongside her own journey, that lead to self-discovery and growth. Heading towards her first EP in 2021, Charmaine wants to embody individuals that have faced tough upbringings, but seek opportunity after opportunity and eventually thrive at what they do best.
