HOMEBODY PLAYLIST: Kaniva Photograph

South London-based Kaniva has steadily positioned himself as one of the most promising artists rising out of the UK. His stand-out BL@CKBOX freestyle offered a clear insight into what we could expect from him only a few years later.

The start of 2020 saw the release of his '1' EP. A four-track body of work fuelled with hard-hitting bars and quality production and despite the current climate and loss of live music this year, his talent landed him a spot as the opening act at this year's virtual Wireless Festival.

Today, he releases brand new project '3', a further testament to his versatility, attention to his craft and unwavering work ethic.

With the release of his brand new EP, Kaniva gives us the low down on what he's been listening to over the last few months.

Check out his Homebody Playlist below!

Tion Wayne - Deluded feat. MIST

"BANGER, production is the one. This is the kinda music I bang in the car early morning to wake me up."
KAYTRANADA - The Worst In Me ft. Tinashe
"I had the 'BUBBA' album by Kaytranada on repeat for weeks and this is one of my favourite songs on the album. Sick production, great vocals, proper vibey music."
Headie One - Parlez-Vous Anglais ft. Aitch
"Sick riddim, I'm a grime kid at heart so I love a good back 2 back. No real structure, just bars and they both smashed it."
Giggs & David - Straight Murder
"Dave's verse is probably top 5 rap verses for me this year, bar for bar one of my favourite rappers in the country."
Ryan Trey - Rollin
"One of the waviest songs of the year. Ryan Trey is my go to for my chill-out trapsoul vibes."
Brent Faiyaz - Clouded
"One of my favourite Brent songs, F*ck The World is one of my favourite albums this year. This was one of the most relatable tracks to me on the project."
Digga D - Chingy (It's Whatever)
"Big drill tune, production is ments. Digga's really found his lane and I dig it. Think he's top 5 in drill without any debate."
The Internet - Just Sayin/I Tried
"Ego Death is one of my favourite albums of all time, this is one of my favourite songs on the album. I rinse this tune on a daily, Syd Tha Kyd is a G."
J Hus - Helicopter ft. iceè tgm

"Production from TSB is 10/10, the lyrics from Hus, the hook from icee. Big Conspiracy is one of my favourite projects from a British artist and this was one of th best songs to start an album with. Had this on repeat for days before I could even listen to the rest of the album."
Cadet - Trust Em
"People who know me know the relationship I had with Cadet. Listening to his album was a bit much but this was the song that actually resonated with me in terms of his sound. Him and Wonda were the dream team for me, couldn't do wrong and the subject matter is something that I relate to a lot. This is the kind of music thar made my bro really shine."
