One of the originators of the UK Drill sound is back to remind us why he is one of the best at the genre. Rapping over a smooth and sombre Drill beat, LD give us all a little taster of what is to come from the Brixton rapper.
As always, the 67 representative utilises his clever wordplay and crud-filled bars whilst donning his clear precise delivery. LD kept the track short, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the artist in the future. We only get about a minute of bars from LD whilst the rest of the track is filled with dialogue. This is the perfect example of leaving the fans wanting more. For him to go so hard in just a minute will surely have listeners eagerly anticipating LD’s upcoming album ‘Who’s Watching’ which is due to drop sometime next year.
The visuals feel like we were going through a memory book. We see multiple clips of 67 members, and we see previous videos of shows that the group have performed at. The way it has been edited, gives it the feeling of reminiscing on old memories.
This track shows one thing, and that is LD is back and he is here to reinstate his claim as the ‘King of Drill’. The South London rapper is still providing that hype and greazy sound we all know him for.
‘Outro’ is a good sign of what is to come.
