DAP The Contract releases brand new track 'Why Would I Lie'

The super talented DAP The Contract returns with a brand new track, 'Why Would I Lie'. The blending of intricate vocoder effects with a gospel-esque harmony sets the backdrop for the track, a gentle beat marrying with DAP’s vocals and creating a cool, breezy rhythm. Weaving between singing and rapping, he showcases his artistry throughout, proving that his life-long passion for music has set him levels above the rest. Speaking on the single’s inspirations, he explains “Why Would I Lie is a celebration of beating the odds and overcoming the obstacles on the path to success. It captures the sentiment in the EP title "I'm Glad You Made It This Far".

Embarking on his dreams of becoming a musician since the tender age of 4, DAP spent his younger years becoming a classically trained pianist and performer, attending the Berklee College of Music before graduating from Brown University and Columbia Law School shortly after. Already a notable name within the industry, he has recorded with Mark Ronson in the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios, toured Europe as a headline act and featured on the soundtrack for the Disney movie ‘Noelle’.

With a string of releases seeing his streams soar into the millions, DAP The Contract is no stranger to success, and ‘Why Would I Lie’, taken from his upcoming EP ‘I’m Glad You Made It This Far’ is set to project him into an abundance of it.
