After a string of high profile roles in Black Mirror, Get Out, Black Panther and plenty more Daniel Kaluuya joins The Breakfast Club to discuss his return to screens in new biopic 'Judas and the Messiah.'

The film follows the life and betrayal of activist and chairman of the Black Panther Party, Fred Hampton, played by Daniel Kaluuya.

Sitting down with hosts Charlamagne tha God, DJ Evny and Angela Yee they ease into the conversation, with Daniel revealing how Ryan and Zinzi Coogler actually presented the role to him on the set of Black Panther and how the tale immediately resonated with him.

The film had been in the works for many years, often falling through, but finally came to fruition this year in a stunning and moving film directed by Shaka King. Although just released the film is a critical success and has already seen Kaluuya be nominated for a Golden Globe after it's premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival!

Although there have been questions about whether British actors should take American roles Charlamagne affirms Daniel as the perfect fit for the role, with Daniel explaining how he got into character for the role. Although Daniel is sensitive to the matter he also understands the message of the film is about unity and reflects on the racial climate in the UK also.
