Mr Eazi has released a second EP titled ‘Something Else’ and it really is ‘pure vibes’ as he says so himself.
The Ghanaian-Nigerian Afropop sensation spent the past year collaborating with big names like J Balvin and Nicki Minaj. Since lockdown, Mr Eazi found himself recording 90% of the fun 5-track project himself—and there is certainly something different about this EP.
‘Something Else’ embodies the 29 year-old’s signature laid-back groove whilst pioneering the a fusion blend of Banku music. The louder and firm bass combined with the lingering melodies immediately creates a lasting impression through grasping our attention straight away.
Mr Eazi’s vocals gracefully glide over the beats, creating a light-hearted and fun feel to the tracks. As an artist who prides himself on where he creates his music due to his love for journeys, the songs will mentally take you to a paradise island, sipping on coconuts.
Each track in the EP has something to offer from cheeky vibes with ‘Cherry’, to wanting to get on your feet and dance to ‘The Don’. Mr Eazi stands in a lane of his own and the EP contributes to showcasing his high level of talent through his unique blend of sounds.
The ‘Skin Tight’ and ‘Leg Over’ star holds the ability to create infectious melodies that will undoubtably have fans vibing. From catchy lyrics like “Pour me water, holy water”, his new EP has the right elements to wow us once again.
Fans are hopeful and awaiting an album release following the success of 2018’s ‘Life is Eazi, Vol. 2- Lagos To London’. All eyes are peeled on what else Mr Eazi has lined up for the year.
‘Something Else’ includes:
