As we anticipate his upcoming album ‘Certified Lover Boy’, Drake unleashes a brand new EP titled ‘Scary Hours 2’. This three track project gives us a hint of what the album may potentially or may not involve.
After releasing ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ back in spring 2020, Drake has evidently been raising excitement levels throughout audiences. Not having released an album since 2018, there are now increasingly high expectations from the majority for Drake to deliver. ‘Scary Hours 2’ presents a collection of three tracks - starting off with ‘What’s Next’. With an extreme trap production, Drake displays hard-hitting bars over the beat.
Transitioning into track two, 'Wants and Needs', which features Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, Drake delivers his polished rap skills alongside smooth melodies that form a catchy hook. He's accompanied by one of the hottest US rappers right now, Lil Baby, who demonstrates his incredible fast-paced yet controlled flow; as he projects well-constructed wordplay.
The third and final track is highly possible to be the best. Once again, we see Drake and Rick Ross join forces to create magic on ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle’. Both rappers offer their artistry relentlessly over a deep a rap beat; allowing heartfelt lyricism to effortlessly resonates with many.
