With the recent surge in Clubhouse’s popularity, Instagram has introduced a new zoom-like feature called ‘Live Rooms’, allowing anyone going live to add up to three more users. Previously you could go live with only one other person, but now Instagram is letting you “double-up” on your live broadcast.
Instagram says “We hope that doubling up on Live will open up more creative opportunities- start a talk show, host a jam session or co-create with other artists, host more engaging Q&As or tutorials with your following, or just hang out with more of your friends.
The social networking site have also announced the ‘Live Rooms’ also give creators even more ways to build a business and earn money. To start a Live Room- Swipe left and pick the Live camera option. Add a title and tap the Rooms icon to add your guests.
Instagram also appears to be working on live audio rooms where a host can add a bunch of users to the live audio session. However, this feature is suggested to be under development and not available to users right now.
