We're in that weird late-winter-early-spring period where choosing appropriate outdoor attire becomes more of a science. They mentioned It was a proper windy day. Bucket hats went flying. It was a fiasco. but fun though, and they fully endorse going outside into spring winds.

Luckily Patagonia's updated Torrentshell 3L, introduced last year, is full of science. With a completely wind and waterproof design, it also boasts zippered underarms for ventilation and an adjustable fit. They decided to take some of their spring collection up onto the fells, including some organic and recycled tees.
