After revealing to his fans that he’ll be dropping his highly anticipated debut album this year,
Rema releases his first single of 2021, ‘Bounce’.

Rema’s debut album has become one of the most talked-about projects to come out of West
Africa, with the concept and features on the album still being kept quiet. For those of you who are wondering where you recognise the name, he recently featured on Jae5's track 'Dimension' alongside Skepta, and he also featured on the FIFA 21 soundtrack.

Rema signed to Marvin Records in 2019 and this is the first time he has worked with the labels godfather, Don Jazzy, who - on this track - turns the tables and delivers high energy, fast-paced production - something we’ve not heard from Rema before. One of music's most influential players, Don Jazzy’s discography boasts work with the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West and not forgetting D’Banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’, which played a huge role in the global Afrobeats movement.

The music video for this track is a blend of Burning Man Festival and Mad Max in a post-apocalyptic setting and matches the energy of the song perfectly. The style is different to Rema's usual afrobeat sort of laid-back style with soothing vocals and melodies but it is done so well that what you learn from this is that you can not put Rema in a box, because he will do something unexpected like this and it will sound just as good as the sound you know and love from him.

This video is out now so go and check it out, and keep your eye out for the album, it is going to be big.
