Big Brother star Nikki Grahame has died aged 38 after a long term battle with anorexia.

Nikki Grahame was a contestant on the seventh series of Big Brother back in 2006 and has battled anorexia since childhood. Just last month the reality TV star checked into a private hospital after her battle with the eating disorder got significantly worse. Her friends managed to raise over £65,000 for her via a GoFundMe page to help her to start paying for life-saving care.

The same friends today updated the GoFundMe page with the news of the stars passing, in a statement which said: "It is with great sadness, we have to let you know that our dear friend Nikki passed away in the early hours of Friday April 9. It breaks our hearts to know that someone who is so precious was taken from us at such a young age. Nikki not only touched the lives of millions of people, but also her friends and family who will miss her immensely."

Nikki's mother says that her daughter's condition worsened when the gyms closed and also went on to say that the coronavirus lockdown restrictions had been "hellish" for her daughter.

The family and friends of the reality star have requested privacy at this time so that they can process the tragic news.
