Link Up TV Fashion Drop: Little Simz' latest music video 'Introvert'

Little Simz' Introvert video is a powerful reflection of the past year. The first few scenes put key historical clips and images at the forefront. A group of dancers are shown, front and centre of the natural history museum. They're in identical oversized outfits with nude tees, tan chunky boots (that look like Timberlands) and grey joggers. The simplicity of their outfits exaggerates their movements and intentionally forgets gender. Also, the matching cohort resonates with a feeling of togetherness, community, and strength in numbers... "as long as we're unified then we've already won".
Simz' second outfit is equally understated. Her oversized denim jacket, doubled with denim flares and a white top, mirror everyday people, with everyday clothes that all hold a message that desperately needs to be heard and acted upon. The styling isn't extravagant, it isn't meant to be. All the clothes allow expression and free movement. It's unusual (and refreshing) that a video lets bodies speak for their dance and the meaning behind those actions, rather than their shapes.
