British-Mauritian singer Lavaud unveils debut EP ‘King Vaud’, accompanied by stunning visuals for the title track.

Hackney-hailing singer-songwriter Lavaud (pronounced La-Vo) blends African and Caribbean influences with fresh R&B throughout her four-track debut release. Full of passion and brimmed with sensuality, 'King Vaud' explores the multifaceted nature of Lavaud–showcasing her bilingual abilities, and embracing the divine essence of her womanhood. Previously released single 'Oh My' featuring Reekado Banks features on the project alongside three new solo tracks: 'King Vaud', 'Fast Lane' and 'Sweet Lies'.

Speaking of the EP, and its title, Lavaud explains: “As a woman I wanted to create something that was not only real and authentic to me but something that would empower others and change perspective. In my opinion there is no greater title than ‘Woman’, so why not also have the option to be ‘King’?"

Accompanying the project release are stunning visuals to the tapes title track, ‘King Vaud’. Shot in Jamaica by British-Nigerian director Christina Nwabugo, the visuals capture the sensual tone of the Tuzi-produced track whilst displaying the exoticness of woman. Bright garments, diverse hues of women, and a natural celebration of individuality against the island background see the ‘King Vaud’ visuals shine as bright as the song itself.

Be sure to check out the 'King Vaud' visuals below and stream the full-length project on all digital platforms.
