CamQuarter unleashes brand new track ‘Starstruck’

Bringing together chilled R&B and Hip-Hop, Baltimore’s CamQuarter is an exciting talent with a distinctive and fresh sound. Following on from his 2020 album ‘Rembrandt’, the new single ‘Starstruck’ see’s CamQuarter lean on his Hip-Hop sensibilities demonstrating his ability to mix his trademark brand of production with his effortless flow. Reminiscent of his contemporaries, Frank Ocean and Bakar, CamQuarter blends boxy processed guitar loops with sampled vocals, kick heavy beats and sub bass, which underlines the gentle ease and flawless delivery of his rapping.
Taken from his new EP ‘Nimbus’, Starstruck is a demonstration of the encapsulating nature of CamQuarter’s music both lyrically and sonically giving an insight into the overwhelming sense of honesty and intimacy across the new EP’s 6 tracks. Creating a sound of his own, CamQuarter brings together a blend of genres from dark R&B, punching Hip-Hop beats and pensive Indie-Pop vibes showing a wide range of influences.
Speaking on the new EP CamQuarter said: “I wrote a lot of this EP just going through the motions, reflecting on how I got to this point in my life and what made me the person I am today. I tried to put a lot of soul into these songs, I want people to listen and connect with every track on this track.” Having been featured in the likes of VoyageATL Magazine, CamQuarter’s new EP ‘Nimbus’ is the first of a series of releases due throughout 2021.
