M9ine is back with a new banger titled ‘Work’. The Cardiff rapper delivers a harmonious chorus over Chris Rich’s smooth-sailing and melodic drill beat.
M9ine puts his versatility on display as he switches from the tuneful vocals to a more aggressive and hard-hitting delivery in the verses. M9ine keeps the track entertaining throughout, by switching up the flow numerous times and always keeping in the pocket with the beat.
The theme of the track is simple; money does not grow on trees, and you must work for that paper. This theme is accurately portrayed through the video directed by Drippy Visuals, as we see M9ine dressed as a mechanic working in a garage, whilst discussing his finances.
M9ine has been consistent with his sound, by making tracks such as ‘I & I’ and ‘Cartier’. The masked rapper keeps up this consistency with his latest offering, as he uniquely blends the sounds of Trap and Drill into one. The banger is both wavey and greazy, due to the soft-sounding chorus mixed with the tough and direct verses.
M9ine is definitely on the come up, as he continues to craft his sound, mixing the crud and the wave to create a vibe that is easy to rock with.
