Greentea Peng delivers new single 'Free My People' featuring Simmy and Kid Cruise.
The single is an empowering breath of fresh air as Greentea Peng shows off beautiful vocals along with Simmy and Kid Cruise – a trio whose sounds blend so well together to make a soulful, breezy track.
The single comes with a brand new music video directed by Melody Maker, who has worked with Greentea Peng on numerous occasions to bring her tracks to life, and it is a partnership that works so well every time.
Speaking on the music video for 'Free My People', Melody Maker said:
"I wanted to dive into the mantra of Free My People that echoes throughout the song. A year of fear, loneliness and isolation under the pandemic has laid bare some of the more troubling and alienating aspects of the human condition that we all experience at points in our lives” .
'Free My People' is the fourth and final single release taken from the artists forthcoming album 'Man Made', which is set to release on June 4. It is heading to be a great success, following Greentea kicking off 2021 at number 4 in the BBC Music Sound of 2021, after a milestone year in 2020 for the South London born singer and songwriter.
