Upcoming female rapper BXKS hailing from Northampton via Luton has unveiled her latest mixtape dubbed ‘Full Time Dreamer’, a polished collection of eight tracks of what she labels as “alternative grime”.

This playful mixtape displays BXKS’ quickfire bars and solid lyricism, exploring themes of rap brags and being broke against beats produced by TK and P-rallel. She delivers her words with ease and they marry well with the escapist world she portrays with the use of anime and Gameboy sound effects, giving the mixtape a surreal feel.

BXKS’ sound is distinctive and shows fans her personality in audio form. ‘Full Time Daydreamer’ includes her recent singles ‘Packed In’ and ‘Work Like’ ft KISH!, and the vibey lead single ‘Must Feel’ whose visuals have dropped alongside the release of the mixtape. Directed by renowned director Sheenah Brobbey, this hyper-real matrix-esque video sees BXKS in a dystopian world showing how people become wholly consumed by social media. BXKS’ concept for the video is clean and Sheenah’s direction brought such a powerful messaage to life, creating a visual that is not only bright and creative, but also important to showcase.

‘Full Time Daydreamer’ is a breath of fresh air for the UK rap scene that puts BXKS at the top of her game artistically. Each track solidifies the reason why she is gained recognition from the likes of Skepta, The Line of Best Fit, Jamz Supernova and more. It is clear she is on an upward trajectory from here.
