Wesley Joseph & Jorja Smith link up for breath-taking single 'Patience'

Artist, producer and director Wesley Joseph has returned with a breath-taking single ‘Patience’, featuring vocals from fellow OG Horse collective member Jorja Smith.

The latest track will appear on Wesley Joseph debut project ‘Ultramarine’, which was released yesterday (June 18) on his own EEVILTWINN imprint. Boasting eight tracks, ‘Ultramarine’ was recorded throughout the last year and features the likes of Leon Vynehall, Dave Okumu, the aforementioned Jorja Smith and more.

Wesley Joseph’s sound is unique as he takes different elements of various genres to carve a lane that is specific to him. ‘Patience’ is fresh; Wesley Joseph’s contemplative lyrics marry well with Jorja Smith’s soulful and emotive lyrics to create a track that is only a small insight into their creative chemistry.

The self-directed visuals for ‘Patience’ see the pair driving in a car before it crashes. In an email to Fader, Joseph said: "When coming up with the video, I knew I wanted there to be a distinctive storyline that provides a metaphoric ‘crash’ of dramatic incidents from different perspectives in life that were all unrelated. I wanted to showcase raw emotions in a way that doesn’t make you too attached to one individual experience, but lets you appreciate it. Life is complex but can be simple at the same time and I wanted the video to reflect that."
