Lockdown restrictions in Scotland are said to end on August 9th. This was confirmed by the Prime Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon.
When the rules are lifted, just like in England, social distancing will be scrapped, larger crowds at venues and more people will be allowed in restaurants and pubs.
And as long as anyone who tested positive for Covid is fully vaccinated and tests negative, friends and family can be around one another.
Here's what Nicola Sturgeon had to say on the lifting of rules-" Declaring freedom from or victory over this virus is in my view premature."
She also mentioned how there is a 'gradual approach to get people back into the offices but also states that this still poses 'real challenges'.
Face masks will still continue to be worn in public spaces including shops, hospitality venues, and public transport.
