Asheley Turner releases new R&B track ‘Take Your Time’

The Toronto Based R&B singer Asheley Turner is no stranger to heartstruck ballads. Her glossy R&B production and warm vocal riffs are inspired by the musicians she grew up listening to Lauryn Hill, SWV, Brandy, Mariah Carey, Aaliyah and current influences Jhene Aiko, Kehlani, H.E.R, Jazmine Sulivan.

‘Take Your Time’ offers a reflective outlook on love; Asheley Turner is searching for answers from her lover. The lyrics document the pain and confusion smouldering Asheley Turner’s mind. “I can’t seem to tell if I’m talking to a stranger...You’ve been acting unusual”. The soulful singer exposes her vulnerable, self-reflective thoughts.

The dreamy experimental production by Yogi The Producer, Laguil & Matt Law, cruises on a striking drum, guitar-led beat coated with Asheley Turner’s warm echoed vocals.
