5 members of Meridian Gang have joined forces for the first time in over a decade to bless us with a brand new track titled 'Man In Meridian'.

5 big names in the Grime scene have joined forces to roll back the years and give us a Meridian Gang link up once again. If you are unaware of Meridian Gang and who is involved, then definitely have a deep search on YouTube as they gave us so many bangers, not only as individual artists but also as a group and not to mention some legendary Grime sets when the scene was at its peak.

The new track shines a light on an iconic moment from a pirate radio grime set in the early 2000s where the crew performed a freestyle with the same title as this new track, which was the first freestyle they performed together after Bossman Birdie returned home. The new track - which samples the original track in the chorus - is a culmination of turning that legendary moment into a song that could be remembered for years to come.

With the music video sharing throwbacks to each members early days, and using images of children to represent just how long ago the original freestyle came out, the creative direction for this is absolutely spot on and really does exactly what you would expect from a nostalgic throwback music video to match the track,

Speaking on the release, Bossman Birdie says, “‘Man In Meridian’ is one of the most important grime tracks to come out of the genre to date. It’s the essence of the culture and the first time you get to hear 90% of Meridian together swinging it out on the same record. With everyone locked into their own solo endeavours, it was a madness getting the verses over the line. But we all wanted to give the fans something sick for the support over the years. This is the start of some much-needed fire to come from this legendary collective.”

The music video for this track is out now and the track is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music now and you can watch the music video right here.
