Author: Tom Dingley | Friday 30th September 2022

South London based rapper K-Trap is back to deliver the latest instalment of his debut project as he unveils 'The Last Whip 2'. We listened to the new drop and decided we definitely needed to let you know our thoughts on it, If you haven't listened to the project already makes sure you check it out! It's available via all major digital outlets.

K-Trap drops his project 'The Last Whip 2' via Thousand8 Music. The project consists of 19 tracks and is indicative of the buzz surrounding the rapper's name right now. Not only does K-Trap hit us with his signature style and delivery, but the new release boasts an impressive feature list of heavy hitters, including Krept & Konan, Headie One, M Huncho, Youngs Teflon, LD, Reekz MB and more.

The project kicks off with 'Spoilt', which released as a single earlier this year and serves as a fantastic introduction to the project, as it shows K-Trap doing what he does best - talking that real talk, flexing slightly, and making it sound amazing on a track. This is a track that you already know is going to turn any future shows that Trapo does into a zoo. With the bass hitting hard in the background and the catchy hook, fans already know and love this track and it is amazing as the introduction to the song.

Since establishing his own label and independence, K-Trap has been a force to be reckoned with following the release of his critically acclaimed, 'Trapo' project late last year, to his Top 20 mixtape this year, 'Joints 2' featuring long-term friend and collaborator, Blade Brown. The rise since these releases up until todays release has been nothing short of rapid.

One of the highlights of the track is the collaboration with Krept & Konan on 'Who Wanna'. With Krept & Konan - one of the biggest duos in UK rap - doing what they do best and supplying the bars in a way that only they can as well as sticking to the theme of the album and matching K-Traps level of real rap and doing it with some slick flows over the beat - produced by M1 On the Beat.

Throughout the project K-Trap showcases his consistency and ability as a rapper, stays true to his reality and himself throughout the entirety of the project - something which goes a long way with the fans - and continues to make waves in the genre. The project is drill at the top level and is proof that the genre is still going as strong as ever and leaves room for others to come and try to push the benchmark even further than it has already been taken.

The project is one for drill fans to love and take in, check out 'The Last Whip 2' via all major digital outlets including Spotify and Apple Music .
