Everyone's favourite online duo Chunkz and Yung Filly are set to host the 25th anniversary MOBO Awards in association with Lucozade on 30th November.

With only one week to go until the MOBO Awards officially kicks off, details of the evening are beginning to be confirmed. With the always entertaining and hilarious YouTube turned presenter duo of Chunkz and Yung Filly being announced as the hosts for the evening. Other confirmed details include performances from the likes of Tion Wayne, Fireboy DML, Kojey Radical, Cat Burns, FLO and Eliza Rose just to name a few.

Since 1996, the MOBO Organisation has discovered and supported talent in music, film and TV. MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) operates 365 days a year to create events, content, partnerships and opportunities for young people in the entertainment industries and beyond. For 25 years, the MOBO Awards has been a significant cultural event in the British music industry, celebrating excellence in Black music.

A full list of this years categories and the nominees is available here and includes the likes of Dave, Central Cee, Ms Banks, Tiana Major9, Knucks, Aitch, Potter Payper, Clavish, Nia Archives, Little Simz and so many more names across the board, so make sure you tune in to watch the ceremony as there are plenty of performances to watch and awards up for grabs.

The event takes place on Wednesday 30th November at the Wembley OVO Arena, and is set to be one of the best MOBO awards ceremonies yet. You can keep up with the awards show via the BBC as they are an official broadcast partner for the MOBO Awards 2022 and will reflect the ceremony across TV, radio and online. You can also livestream the event on the 30th November by going to the MOBO YouTube channel from 8PM.

BBC 1Xtra will bring listeners a special show on 7 December with performances from the night and exclusive backstage interviews with this year’s acts. Alongside this, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Sounds will celebrate the MOBO Awards in a special five-part podcast. Across the episodes they’ll celebrate the arrival of Afrobeats, growth of Garage, the re-instillation of Dance and more. Fronted by 1Xtra’s DJ Ace, the series will see the likes of Sean Paul, Nia Archives, FUSE ODG and more reflect on what the MOBO Awards mean to them and celebrate the rise and rise of black British music.

BBC One will broadcast a special hour-long access all areas show on the 7th of December, presented by BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target. This will include highlights from the ceremony, exclusive behind the scenes action, performances and red carpet interviews. This will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
