Limitless Live has announced the launch of its Black Influence Awards on 8th April 2023 at Roundhouse London, to celebrate Black influencers and change-makers throughout a variety of industries.

Some of the influencers that have been nominated include, television presenter Rochelle Humes, Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford MBE, change-maker Irene Agbontaens, comedian Munya Chawawa, BRIT Award nominated artist Cat Burns and British girl group FLO.

The Black Influence Awards will take place on the same night as Limitless Live’s music festival, to bring together influence and music. The line up includes hip hop duo Krept and Konan, Drill artist K-Trap, R&B songstress Carla Prata, Rap newcomer Crystal Millz and international DJ Cuppy. As well as this, Limitless Live will be hosting workshops throughout the day as part of the festival, with partner M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment and Universal Music.

Tolu - the founder of Limitless Live - has said: "The Limitless Black Influence Awards is an extension of the Limitless Live brand which is focused on having an equitable impact on communities, societies and business. While we are excited about celebrating and highlighting the achievements of the Black Influnecers nominated we also want to go further and advocate through data around the pay disparity they face.”

In 2021 a survey conducted by global communications firm MSL reportedly found that the racial pay gap between white and BIPOC influencers is 29 percent. Furthermore, the gap between white and black influencers is even wider, at a reported 35 percent. The Black Influence Awards have been created to challenge brands to pay equitably and showcase those who are having a positive impact on their industry. Limitless Live will highlight and advocate for pay disparity for black influencers at the awards.

The awards are decided by a public vote for who they believe is the biggest change-maker/influencer, and the first 100 people to vote will be given a free ticket to Limitless Live. The awards will be given out to the influencers throughout the evening of limitless live 2023.
