J Balvin Introduces New Air Jordan 3 Colourway Honouring His Son Rio

Following the buzz around his Medellin-inspired Air Jordan 3 collaboration, Colombian superstar J Balvin is back with another stunning addition to the AJ3 lineup. This time, the renowned singer, songwriter, and producer pays tribute to his firstborn son, Rio, born in 2021. The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio” features a sleek black-on-black design accented with vibrant sunset-inspired orange gradients.

The Air Jordan 3 continues to evolve, introducing fresh colorways to the iconic Tinker Hatfield creation, including this latest collaboration with J Balvin. This marks the fourth joint venture between J Balvin and Jordan Brand, following the bold rainbow tie-dye Air Jordan 1 High and the ethereal cloudy Air Jordan 2. The "Rio" edition offers a more minimalist aesthetic while still delivering rich storytelling elements.

The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio” showcases a black leather upper that cleverly conceals the AJ3’s signature elephant print overlays. Orange accents highlight the lace holes, complementing the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the semi-translucent heel panel. The heel PU midsole features a sunset-inspired gradient, reminiscent of the “Medellín Sunset” colourway. A grey semi-translucent outsole rounds out this sophisticated design.
