SLAWN and Jamie Morgan Collaborate for 'ICONIC' Pop-Up in Soho
Timberland is taking over Soho for London Fashion Week with an exclusive pop-up exhibition to mark the launch of its highly anticipated 'ICONIC' campaign. Set for 17th September 2024, the exhibition brings together Nigerian artist SLAWN, the face of the campaign, and legendary British fashion photographer Jamie Morgan, who shot the visuals.
The exhibition will feature eight of Morgan's images, re-imagined by SLAWN, who uses his bold, provocative style to overlay the photographs, offering his own unique take on what it means to be ‘iconic.’ Spread across two floors, visitors will experience the fusion of these two creatives through artwork, projections, and a behind-the-scenes look into SLAWN’s creative journey.
Speaking on the collaboration, Jamie Morgan shared, “I love SLAWN’s attitude to art and life. His punk approach brings a wild, freestyle energy that’s the complete opposite of my graphic black-and-white style, making this an exciting and dynamic collab.”
SLAWN also expressed his excitement: “This shoot with Timberland was different. You get to see all of me. Jamie’s a sick photographer, so working with him was a vibe.”
This one-day-only event will be held at 19 Greek Street, Soho, on 17th September from 12pm-6pm, as part of the global launch of Timberland’s ‘ICONIC’ campaign, which celebrates originality and the fearless spirit that has made Timberland a cultural mainstay.
Don’t miss your chance to witness this unique collision of art and fashion culture.
