G-SHOCK has teamed up with California-based surf lifestyle brand, Western Hydrodynamic Research (WHR), to launch a UK-exclusive watch and apparel collection, blending durability and ocean culture in a unique collaboration.

Founded by Pat Towersey in 2013, WHR was born out of his passion for product design and the ocean. Pat, a former poster child of 90s Southern California’s surf and skate scene, has created a brand synonymous with beach utility products. With G-SHOCK’s reputation for tough, beach-ready watches, the two brands have formed the perfect partnership, bringing together their shared love of the ocean.

At the heart of this collaboration is the G-SHOCK GLX-5600WHR-2ER, a deep ocean blue timepiece packed with features for surf enthusiasts. The watch boasts G-SHOCK’s legendary shock-resistant structure, 20-bar water resistance, tide and moon graphs, and a Super Illuminator for night-time readability. It’s crafted with bio-based resins to minimize environmental impact, aligning with WHR’s focus on sustainability. Custom WHR branding is featured throughout, including a unique face decal and engraved backplate.

This collaboration goes beyond just the timepiece—marking a first for G-SHOCK, it also includes an exclusive apparel capsule. The limited edition range features x2 graphic t-shirts (£65), x2 graphic hoodies (£125), and a cap (£49), all showcasing WHR’s distinctive design ethos. Each item complements the watch’s rugged, oceanic aesthetic, making it a must-have for surf and streetwear lovers alike.
