Even though the release of his next album is delayed, Drake has comforted fans with the follow up of 2018’s ‘Scary Hours’ with a three-track long EP ‘Scary Hours 2’, and visuals to the first track ‘What’s Next’. With this track being the only song without a feature, the Canadian rapper delivers sharp bars that makes fans more eager for his next project. Despite this solo track being leaked last weekend, it did not stop it from quickly becoming a fan favourite.

In this new Maneesh and Supah Mario-produced track, Drake reminds us why he currently sits at the top when it comes to rapping as he smoothly flows in an exasperated way. He expands on what he has been up to over the past year, touching on his knee surgery he underwent last year in the bar: “And New Year’s, all I did was stretch, okay?”, as part of the gritty chorus.

The accompanying visuals capture Drake collaborating with Theo Skudra to create a laidback video that shows Drake in different locations around his snowy hometown; including the top of the CN Tower to an aquarium.

Be sure to check out the ‘What’s Next’ visuals below, and stream ‘Scary Hours 2’ here.
