Dave’s highly anticipated album is finally here for fans to enjoy!
Titled We’re All Alone in This Together, the 12-track body of work is just as hard-hitting as its predecessor Psychodrama, which went on to win the Mercury Prize and Album of the Year at the BRIT Awards. After teasing fans with his single ‘Clash’ featuring rap heavyweight Stormzy back in July, hype continuously grew around this project and what it would entail. Dave's sophomore effort contains guest appearances from the likes of Snoh Aalegra, Stormzy, Wizkid, Ghetts, Fredo, Giggs, Meekz, Boj, James Blake and ShaSimone.
In his recent interview with GQ, Dave commented on the project: “There is a magic to it! I feel like my first album was a concept, but this is canon. In this album, it’s referencing itself; it is self-aware. My life inside of real life: what I do, my career, musically, acting-wise, my ambition – it’s self-aware. When you hear who I am by track twelve versus who I was in track one, that journey, it feels like a journey of years, like, ‘Yo, this person has been here, this has happened, that happens, I meet this person, the slang I use, the arrogance, the voice…’ It is canon.”
